MKRS is low-fi horror/sci-fi story-driven escape room-style narrative adventure.

  • RobertWK’s Review: I was quite surprised how good this experience was. The low poly resolution design makes this both performant and eerie. The puzzles are a little challenging but engaging in more than one way. They can all be solved without any outside knowledge required. My only objections are that there are way too many doors, and there are some minor bugs that can occur resulting in a potential soft-lock to completing the experience. The story was a little muddy but still inspired and intriguing. This environments draw some inspirations from John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’, so if you’re a fan, check it out. (Rating: 8)
  • Katchy’s Review: I’m a sucker for pixel art so this one already had me from the beginning. The atmosphere is great here and there’s plenty of lore to discover. The puzzles were very unique – especially the one that takes certain photographs in the world. I did manage to bug out the train at the end by accidentally clicking the button to make it go while outside of the train, but thankfully I was able to finish the world. Expect to spend a couple hours here if you do check it out – it’s definitely worth the time if you’re a fan of subtle horror. (Rating: 8.5)
