Phatta is a mysterious gothic adventure in a desolate, magical place.
First and foremost Phatta is not a long experience, but it is a highly graphical one. It’s hard to say that it is horror. It could probably be called “dark fantasy.”
Regardless of the label, it is an interesting experience that almost seems more like an art project. It could be a dedication, as there are undertones of …something. I could see this being a part of a much larger game, and honestly I would love it if it were. As a micro-experience though, I think it’s reasonable enough. If you’re looking for something different than what you’re usually into on VRChat, Phatta is a good choice.

Phatta seemed like a whole lot of nothing at first, but there’s a bit more than meets the eye. To me those are some of the best experiences. Often I find myself sticking around for a bit too long trying to find a deeper meaning because maybe there’s something more. It’s worth doing, knowing that you can find experiences like this.
The initial experience might be a bit much for some people, especially those with schizophrenia or anxiety disorders (yes, seriously) due to the visual and audio effects that happen in the middle of the area. While it’s not as jarring as something like Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice in VR, it still might get to people that have those issues.
