Night Terrors II is a multi-storied haunted-house style experience for VRC.
RobertWK’s Review: The majority of the worlds we reviewed for our Top 5 Spookality 2023 post (make this a hyperlink) were worlds that featured a deliberate intent to get into your head. This year’s Spookality Jam had a strong psychological fear theme, which makes creating the horror more intense and complex. If it comes off wrong or you aren’t affected by the fear the world is trying to create, then it doesn’t work. Thankfully, Night Terrors II was published a little late, but managed to deliver a solid haunted house style experience that was generally missing from the rest of the Spookality submissions. If you like theme parks and independent haunted spaces that use varied environments with jumpscares and goofy spooky elements, then Night Terrors II will not disappoint. If this had been published during the Spookality window, then it’s likely it might have made it into our Top 5 choices. (Rating: 8.5)
Katchy’s Review: The first Night Terrors was a decent little virtual spook house, but its sequel is even better, offering some much more visually interesting scares and some background lore. The surprise at the end kinda comes out of nowhere but it honestly bumped it up a point for me. Can’t wait for a third entry! (Rating: 8.5)
