Size Shibuya is a world where size can be a factor in your entertainment.

  • RobertWK’s Review:

I’m not 100% sure who ‘Size Shibuya’ is for, but I can muster up a few guesses. Whatever the target audience is, it’s one of those worlds where the fun can sneak up on you.

One of the features VRChat had before some recent changes was the ability to have ultra-large/tall avatars. Now, you don’t necessarily have to use a tall avatar–you can simply adjust your avatar height, but the maximum is limited. Size Shibuya takes this concept and turns it up to 1000; you can be any size from 10 centimeters to 100 meters without any weird janky tricks that break the immersive illusion of being indescribably tall. This technical demonstration also changes the camera appropriately so the city has a shrinking, toy like feeling as you gradually increase your mass. There are a few other fun things that can be done too: climbing, grappling, and player pickup.

If you’re into large character/size disparity role play, then definitely pay this world a visit. There aren’t any others out there like this.

  • Katchy’s Review: Size Shibuya is a pretty nice version of Shibuya on its own, complete with a million different signs and construction everywhere. But the real magic to this world is being able to change your size at will, either being extremely small or very big and tall. You can pick people up that are smaller than you, and the smaller people can climb you as well and live out your Shadow of the Colossus fantasies. Even better, there’s a grappling hook feature that can also be used on people, so you can load up the Attack On Titan theme and live out your dreams of being anime. If only you could destroy buildings and the like, but it’s still pretty fun for what it is. (Rating: 7.5)
