Junkyard Mini Golf

Junkyard Mini Golf is an up-and-coming alternative to the popular Putt Putt Quest/Pond that also regularly adds new features.

There are a few choices for playing mini golf in VRChat, but Junkyard Mini Golf has the most potential to provide a feature-rich configurable mini golf experience for anyone to enjoy and make. The creator, mikeee324, has developed an ongoing work in progress open source mini golf creation system called OpenPutt for VRChat so that creators both seasoned and new can get started making their own mini-golf worlds and courses. While other mini golf worlds exist, there is a lack of variety in the space and there is room for growth and creativity.

While Junkyard Mini Golf may not be as pretty as the others, it is extensive. As a bonus, the world offers a driving range with stats, which no other mini-golf world has. Check out the world and the GitHub for more information on OpenPutt.

Katchy’s Review: Who would have thought that a minigolf course located in a junkyard would actually be quite good? While it’s not much to look at. It all works very well, and there are actually some surprisingly creative holes. I did manage to get about a hundred points, which means I’m great, right? Just kidding. I’m terrible at minigolf in real life and I suppose that lack of skill transfers over in VR as well. It’s so realistic! (Rating: 8)
