RobertWK’s Review: Ahh, nature. There are a lot of attempts at nature scenes in VRChat with wild degrees of authenticity and skill in their execution. Some of them are a little “too perfect” while others definitely could use some work. Fortunately, Side Mountain keeps it dead simple but pulls off a particular kind of natural experience very well. The creator understands how to use lighting and create interesting scenic locations that seem like they could be real. If this is the kind of escape you seek, this one is worth your time. (Rating: 8)
Katchy’s Review: We almost didn’t check out this world as the thumbnail leaves little to be desired, but this world really embodies the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover”. The world is a gorgeous and almost uncanny landscape that had me saying “wow” out loud. Typically worlds like this that are made just to be eye candy run quite badly, but this one runs very well for how much is going on. I did also get a chance to check it out on desktop mode and it’s just absolutely beautiful. I imagine the more higher end the headset, the better it looks. (Rating: 8.5)
