Area of the Dead is a social hybrid arcade shooting game that pits the main player versus the entire room in a multi-stage target shooting onslaught.
- RobertWK’s Review: This world is a solid 9, but is a little rough around the edges. The only downside is that to really get the most out of it, you need a lot of players. Thankfully the creator is working on ways to incentivize people to participate, so this should see some refinement after the Spookality 2023 jam. Definitely get a group of people together and get some gun game action on!
- Katchy’s Review: Once in a while a world comes along that’s completely unexpected and Area of the Dead is exactly that. At first I thought it was going to be an arcade cabinet where you shoot at NPCs, but it ended up being a way more engaging social experience. I’d love to see this one improved upon with additional levels, guns, and more. This is one to check out for sure.
