Cohen’s Fate is the first attempt at making a traditional-style RPG inside of VRChat. Made for Spookality 2023 but unfortunately could not be completed in its entirety due to time constraints.
I think there’s a ton of potential here for Cohen’s Fate. As far as I can tell, this version is more or less a tech demo of what the author has proven to be capable: an RPG encounter using three heroes to confront a danger of the night with shapeshifting capabilities. The game keeps track of mana, hit points, damage applied against mobs, and whether or not your heroes or enemies are dead. The mobs have interesting, dynamic abilities with special visual interactions. One of the characters has the ability to search around for items, which is also an interesting feature.
I very much appreciate that the author pushed out what they could in time for Spookality 2023. Hopefully they will remain committed to completing the entire product and deliver something really special to VRC.
