A․C․R․O

There are lots of VRChat worlds that are also scavenger hunts. Fortunately A.C.R.O. has the qualities of being good looking, fun, dynamic, and the creator’s sandbox for learning programming. There are secrets to be found and in-world coins to find to spend on unlockable objects. There is dynamic and interesting weather, with some of the conditions being unlocked as you spend more time/progress through the map. There are some allusions to a story but there isn’t a cohesive, unifying plot that spans the entire experience. Overall the “play time” of this map is about an or two, and so it makes for a good diversion if you’re looking for something to do and see.

I initially thought this was just going to be a Metal Gear Solid off-shore oil rig world, but there is a lot more to it! There’s some light puzzle-solving and collection of tokens to obtain new items. This one makes for a great end-of-the-evening trip with friends. There’s plenty of vibes with the weather-changing mechanic for people to chill and relax to, as well as “something to do” for the people that need stimulation.
